The teachers training involves virtual online classes with interactive modules in three sessions, followed by 3 months of mentoring, assignments & feedback with trainers assisted by Rotarians and Anns volunteers. Based on the assignments, feedback and competencies displayed, the teachers are awarded with 3 levels of certification by Indian Career Education & Development Council. Originally, the training started with one full day session in classrooms with about 44 teachers per session, but due to the Covid-19 lockdown, the training shifted to online Zoom sessions held daily for 2 hours for 3 consecutive days. The Trainers are able to teach teachers in multiple locations, with slide presentations, interactive sessions & feedback. Most teachers use smart phones to view the training sessions at home. Post training online mentoring & assignments is used to test the teachers progress & achievements. This is Rotary Opening Opportunities to make a positive impact in a Covid stricken world.
