Rotary Club of Pune Sports City organised project visit for RFE guests during the period of the District Conference. We Took them to Pingori and chakan areas. At all schools in Chakan, cultural programs were organised to make them experience the feel of rural India. The visits were organised on 31st January to Chakan and on 1st Feb to Pingori. On 5th Feb the guests visited Dhamane. There were PDGs and International partners and serving presidents from differrnt UK clubs. PDGPaul Charter (UK) , PDG Bill Emslie from USA , Mrs Phyllis Charter to name a few. The visitors were welcomed on the beats of traditional dhol tasha, There foreheads were anointed with traditional haldi kumkum, flowers were showered and they were tied the traditional headgear called "Peta" as a mark of respect.They experienced bullock cart ride maybe for first time. They were served traditional lunch of Bhakri and brinjal vegetable. The school children performed traditional laavni dances and others to praise the deity. The boys demonstrated the Peshwa sword fight. It was a rich cultural exchange enjoyed by one and all. We also support the registrations of few delegates for the district Conference.
